“Out of all five, my favourite one would be KL Botanica because there’s something for everyone there”
Now that most states are allowed to go out for some outdoor fun, these are some of the parks located around Klang Valley that you can visit. A gentle reminder that some of these parks are packed especially during the weekends.
1. Bukit Kiara Park, TTDI

Highlights:
- Large lake
- Jogging trails
- River stream for kids to play
- Picnic spots under the tree
Officially known as “Taman Rekreasi Lembah Kiara” or better known as TTDI Park by locals. Monkeys, monitor lizards, and tortoises also share this beautiful lush habitat. Parking is limited; however, visitors can park their vehicle at the nearby housing area.
Opening hours: 6am-9pm daily.

There is a similar location named “Kiara Park TTDI” which leads you to a Kiara Park condominium instead. So, if you are planning to Waze it, the correct name would be “Bukit Kiara Park”.
2. The Central Park, DesaPark City, Kepong

Highlights:
- Wide jogging path
- Pet-friendly
- Shops and eateries adjacent to the park
- Large lake
There is a reason why this is an award-winning township. The Central Park is well maintained and has a “soft landscaping” design in mind, making this park enjoyable and a sight to remember for families within and outside of Desapark.

3. Perdana Botanical Garden, KL (Lake Garden)

Highlights:
- Jogging trails
- Various tropical plants and beautiful garden landscape
- Deer park
- Kids fantasy playground
Popularly known as “Lake Gardens”, this is KL’s largest recreational park. Even locals KLites might not even realize the existence of such a beautiful park within the city centre.

4. KLCC Park, KL

Highlights:
- Lake Symphony with daily fountain show starts at 8pm
- Jogging track and foot path
- Children’s playground and wet pool
- KLCC towers backdrop
- Wheelchair-friendly
This is the best place to take amazing pictures of KLCC tower while enjoying a stroll in the park.
The park was designed to instill the importance of nature in the heart of the KL metropolis. The Brazilian architect Roberto Blure Marx’s aim was to “leave the world a little more sensitive and a little more educated to the importance of nature”.

5. Bukit Jalil Recreational Park

Highlights:
- International garden showcasing plants from 10 different countries
- Jogging and walking trails for intermediate and advanced runners
- Children’s playground
- Special area dedicated to the disabled
- Ample parking space
This park is built on an 80arce gently sloped terrain.
You can explore different themed gardens such as Japanese tea house gardens, Holland’s famous Windmill station and our local Malay hut to name a few.
